Guided tours of the Executive Residence are a total volunteer effort. Our knowledgeable group of 30+ docents is extremely dedicated with many having volunteered under numerous administrations.
Wisconsin Executive Residence Tours
Tours of the Wisconsin governor’s residence are offered every Thursday during the months of April through August from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. An estimated 20,000 visitors a year pass through the doors for receptions, dinners, meetings, and public tours.
Holiday tours are also offered during December. There is no charge for admission. Groups of 20 or more are required to make a reservation by calling (608) 246-5501.
The Executive Residence is located at 99 Cambridge Road on Madison’s northeast side of the Village of Maple Bluff. The Residence is handicapped accessible.
Enjoy wonderful holiday entertainment and beautifully decorated Christmas Trees! There will be no charge for admission. Cameras are allowed, however, backpacks and large purses will not be permitted inside the Executive Residence. Parties of 20 or more are asked to call (608) 246-5501 to make a reservation. The guided tours will last approximately 20 to 30 minutes and will include a historical account of the rooms on the first floor of the Residence. Visitors will also have the opportunity to walk the grounds to view the stunning gardens and beautiful Lake Mendota.
