The Governor’s Garden
In 2014, five planter boxes were incorporated into the Governor’s Garden which serves as a home to many fresh vegetables and herbs. The garden, located on the north side of the property, is planted both in the spring and fall.
This past spring, planting consisted of tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, squash, and a variety of herbs. Radishes, broccoli, and cabbage were also planted in early September and will be harvested and incorporated into many delicious fall menus created by Executive Residence Chef Paul Shimon. The garden is overseen by the Executive Residence grounds staff.
