An estimated 20,000 visitors a year pass through the doors of the Residence for receptions, dinners, meetings, and public tours. .
Docent-led tours of the Wisconsin Governor’s Residence are offered in the spring and summer. The guided tours will last approximately 20 to 30 minutes and will include a historical account of the rooms on the first floor of the Residence. Visitors also have the opportunity to view the stunning gardens and beautiful Lake Mendota. 2020 tours will be offered every Thursday from 1-3 p.m. starting on Thursday, April 16 and ending Thursday, August 27.
There are also two Saturday tours scheduled for Saturday, June 27 and Saturday, July 25 from 10 a.m.-Noon.
Self-led tours of the decorated Executive Residence are also offered during the holiday season and begin just after Thanksgiving. Dates for the 2020 season will be added in the next few months. Check back for those dates!
The tours are free of admission. Groups of 20 or more are asked to call ahead.
The Executive Residence is located at 99 Cambridge Road on Madison’s northeast side of the Village of Maple Bluff. The Residence is accessible and dementia friendly.
Street parking is available and accessible parking is available if necessary.

Guided tours of the Executive Residence are a total volunteer effort. Our knowledgeable group of 30+ docents is extremely dedicated with many having volunteered under numerous administrations.
