An estimated 20,000 visitors a year pass through the doors of the Residence for receptions, dinners, meetings, and public tours.
Docent-led tours of the Wisconsin Governor’s Residence are offered in the spring and summer. The guided tours will last approximately 20 to 30 minutes and will include a historical account of the rooms on the first floor of the Residence. Visitors will also have the opportunity to walk the grounds to view the stunning gardens and beautiful Lake Mendota.
The 2019 tour season begins Thursday, April 4th, 2019 and concludes August 29th, 2019. Tours are offered every Thursday from 1-3pm. No tours will be offered on July 4th, in observance of the national holiday. We are also offering a special tour on Saturday, July 27th from 10am-12noon.

Self-led Holiday Tours are also offered during the holiday season and begin just after Thanksgiving (specific tour times to be announced Fall 2019).

The Executive Residence is located at 99 Cambridge Road on Madison’s northeast side of the Village of Maple Bluff. The Residence is handicapped accessible. Parking is available on the street.
Guided tours of the Executive Residence are a total volunteer effort. Our knowledgeable group of 30+ docents is extremely dedicated with many having volunteered under numerous administrations.
